King of Junk
Fast food has been one of America's biggest exports to the rest of the world. From Coca-Cola to the burger, American norms have shifted the way Europe eats (for example, did you know that France has the most McDonald's locations per capita in Europe, and the fourth most in the world?).
In "The King of Junk", photographer MarpLondon captures the aesthetics of a social tribe that lives in a fast food nation. These images combine our fascination with bling-bling with our craving for sugar. "It provides status and makes people feel like Kings and Queens," she writes.
